TCO’s Contribution to Local Development
Over its many years of operation, TCO has consistently increased
the share of goods and services it purchases from Kazakhstani partners. Since 1993, TCO
has spent a total of $36 billion on local goods and services, with $3.5 billion spent in
just 2020 alone.
Today, TCO purchases a wide array of goods and services from all throughout Kazakhstan.

To support the growth of Kazakhstani suppliers, TCO is partnering with the European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development to implement the TCO / EBRD Supplier Development
Program.
The program offers consultations to potential suppliers in areas such as quality management
systems (ISO), quality certificates, and information systems for finance and
management.
In 2019, 73% of companies participating increased their turnover by 66% and expanded their staff
by 32%. The cumulative increase in annual turnover was 35%, with a 20% increase in jobs created
and a 13% growth in labor productivity per employee. Of the 15 companies registered, two have
increased their exports.
